Every human being suffers from back pain at some point in life. In an effort to find relief, people turn to a wide variety of treatments, and to doctors who will prescribe narcotic painkillers. What they don t realize is that many of these treatments — especially narcotic drugs — actually interfere with their body s own ability to heal and overcome pain. When these treatments fail to help, they desperately conclude that surgery is their only option for relief.

SACRAMENTO, CA, DECEMBER 20- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger performed a symbolic menorah lighting at the State Capitol today as part of the 12th annual Chabad Chanukah celebration. The Governor joined with Rabbi Boruch S. Cunin, Director of West Coast Chabad-Lubavitch, and other Chabad representatives to share messages of holiday cheer with the people of California.

After greeting the crowd with ?Shalom,? Governor Schwarzenegger called the people of Chabad ?heroes? who have had ?an unbelievable impact on thousands and thousands of people.? Standing before the Capitol building in Sacramento, he thanked the charitable group for its ?great contribution to the state.?

Before the menorah lighting, the Governor recalled how the Maccabees of ancient Israel defied their oppressors to reclaim the Temple and experienced ?the miracle of the oil? that lit a menorah for eight days even though it was only a single day?s supply. ?The menorah is a powerful symbol of faith,? Governor Schwarzenegger said, ?It has been sustained by tradition and empowered by the courage of the Jewish people.?

During the event, Rabbi Cunin presented a large, ornate dreidel as a gift to the Governor and people of California. The dreidel?s base was inscribed with a quote from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, that read: ?The spirit of Chanukah is experienced when we apply its joy, warmth, and light to our lives not only with our loved ones, but with the entire world.?

In his remarks, Rabbi Cunin said, ?All the power everyone speaks of as the power of Chabad is really the power of light, including the light of our Rebbe.? The Rabbi spoke of the miracle of Chanukah and its enduring message of light overcoming darkness, adding that, ?The way we combat darkness is by lighting a candle.?

Rabbi Cunin also noted that the Hebrew letter for light has a numerical value of 207 ? which is the exact number of years since the founder of Chabad, Rabbi Schneur Zalman, was released from his imprisonment in Czarist Russia. The Rabbi?s liberation on the 19th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev is a key date for Chabad Chassidism, since after his release he spread his teachings on a broader scale than ever before.

Rabbi Mendy Cohen, Director of Chabad of Sacramento, told the audience that courage is rewarded with miracles. He listed examples ranging from the Maccabees and the menorah, to Rabbi Schneur Zalman?s release from prison, to the incredible growth of Chabad in California under the guidance of the Rebbe. He also praised Governor Schwarzenegger?s courage, and quipped that he is ?the most powerful Governor in the union, both physically and spiritually.?

Serving as emcee for the event was Michael Helfant, the President and COO of Marvel Studios, who has been a friend of Chabad for two decades. ?Most days, I work with superheroes like Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four,? he said, ?But today, I am here to celebrate with some very different superheroes? The people of Chabad are heroes who accomplish miraculous feats each day. As we celebrate the miracles of Chanukah, they are spreading a powerful message of hope and light.?

David Akov, Israel?s Consul General in S. Francisco, also spoke to the crowd in Sacramento. He brought greetings from the Holy Land for ?the holiday of lights and freedom,? calling Chanukah ?a universal celebration all over the world.? Before the symbolic menorah lighting, Rabbi Cunin offered prayers and remembrances for the victims of the natural disasters of 2005.

Fifteen Chabad schools from across California were represented onstage. Each school undertook a special Menorah Project, holding contests in which their students hand-decorated menorahs to convey the holiday?s universal message and beauty. One student from each school came with his or her own creation to display for the Governor. The unique menorahs included a colorful Lego candelabrum, a log covered with leaves, and a line of candleholders made from Schwarzenegger action figures atop the message, ?The Jewish people said: ?I?ll be back.??

The Sid Engel Orchestra provided festive holiday music for the event, and there was also a performance by the Chabad Tiny Tots Choir. The children in the choir each had a headdress topped with a symbolic flame, and they also wore silver letters that together spelled out the word ?Chanukah.?

At the end of the celebration, donated gifts were distributed to audience members so that they in turn could present them to someone less fortunate during Chanukah. After helping distribute those gifts, Governor Schwarzenegger joined a number of Chabad rabbis onstage for a high-spirited dance.

Editor?s Note: The schools represented at the ceremony were the Chabad Hebrew School of Glendale, the Chabad Hebrew Academy of Long Beach, the Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School of Los Angeles, the Bais Rebbe Junior High for Girls of Los Angeles, the Chabad Youth Group of Noe Valley, the Chabad Hebrew School of Palo Alto, the Chabad Hebrew School of Sacramento, the Chabad Hebrew School of S. Clarita Valley, the Chabad Hebrew School of S. Cruz, the Chabad Hebrew Academy of S. Diego, the Chabad Hebrew School of S. Jose, the Chabad Hebrew School of Sunnyvale, the Reisman Family Chabad Hebrew School of Tarzana, the Chabad Youth Zone of Tri Valley, and the Chabad Hebrew School of Walnut Creek.

You may have been hearing more and more recently about the so called “Law of Attraction”. If not you may have heard of Jerry and Esther Hicks and Abraham, popularised on the Oprah Show.

What got my attention was that what was being said actually had a lot in common with some of my latest readings on quantum physics. These readings suggested that at a quantum level the very act of observering an event changes the event. So we are actually having a vibrational effect on our environment simply by observing it.
For those of you not familiar with the Law of Attraction that Hicks and Abraham have popularised I will provide a VERY simply description.

What is the Law of Attraction
The idea is that there is a Law of Attraction, a fundamental Law of the Universe which amongst other things makes like attract like. We interact with this law and create things that weay or may not want in our lives simply by thinking or focusing on them in a particular way. This is sometimes referred to as manifesting or using the law of attraction or creating your reality.

The Law of Attraction, Money and Happiness
Of course for many people the first thing that they want to use the Law of Attraction for is money and happiness. When it comes to the Law of Attraction, money and happiness understandable are on top of the adgenda.

To really understand how the Law of Attraction and money interact it’s most important to understand that the law of attraction is just that. A law, it doesn’t change, it is very consistant. However we change and our intreptation of what is happening to us changes also. This can lead to a cycle were poor thinking, begets poor experience, which in turn leads back to poor thinking. This reminds one of the phrase “the poor get poorer whilst the rich get richer”.

Immediate Use Law of Attraction Money Tips
The first immediate use law of attraction money tip is therefore to simply to focus on gratitude for what is good financially now. This will eventually lead to a thought that makes your feel a little better, follow that thought until you find another that makes you feel a little better still and so on. This will improve your vibrational state regarding whatever is happening financially.

The second is to stop often during the day and consciously try to think a thought that makes you feel a little better than you do currently. Sounds simple hey?

Daily Use Law of Attraction Money Tips
Setting aside time everyday for your Creative Workshop or Creative Period. A time (15-30mins) where you visualise the outcomes that you want to manifest in your everyday experience, focusing on feeling like those desired outcomes have already been achieved.

Long Term Use Law of Attraction, Money Tips
When planning over the longer term break down large financial tasks into smaller ones that will form the “next logical steps”, one after another, from where you are now.

Spend “creative” time everyday focused on the feeling of having made it or having achieved the larger task. Spend more time everyday though focusing on the feeling of having just achieved that which is your next logical step forward from where you are now. In this way you are smoothing the pebbles from the road and ensuring logs don’t fall up ahead.

Conclusion
As we have said, it is a law. The law of attraction; money, fame and fortune come to those who harness this law. We hope that the information above has helped refocus you on using the law of attraction in your life. Lastly we found a site that may be of interest to those who really want to immerse themselves in learning about the Law of Attraction. This is a site were three teachers featured on the movie “The Secret” will teach you The Science of Getting Rich. It seems a great way to learn about The Law of Attraction and Money

Few activities feel more relaxing than an interlude in a hot bath, hot tub or sauna. Since 1969, when backyard inventor Roy Jacuzzi of Walnut Creek, California, added air jets to an old grape press and created the first Jacuzzi hot tub, bathing has emerged from the privacy of the bathroom and returned to what it was in ancient Rome ? a way to combine relaxation with socializing. But hot baths do more than help us destress. Studies show that heat treatments have many healing benefits.

1. Muscle Soreness

Muscle aches often develop from minor overexertion. That is because the muscles involved have not been sufficiently conditioned to tolerate the extra demand placed on them, and the unexpected load damages some muscle cells. The damage triggers stiffness and the dull, aching soreness that begins within a few hours of the activity and may last for a day or two. Heat can help relieve the discomfort in two ways. It opens superficial blood vessels, increasing circulation to stressed muscles. This extra blood carries oxygen and several components of the immune system?s cellular repair kit that speed healing of injured cells. In addition, pain contributes to anxiety, which makes the pain worse. Heat?s relaxing effect breaks this vicious cycle, soothing tensions and with them some of the discomfort. It is recommended hot tubs or hot baths to soothe aching muscles.

2. Insomnia

The relaxation resulting from a hot bath or sauna helps many people let go of their daily cares and ease into sleep. A hot bath within a few hours of bedtime definitely helps people fall asleep. Taking a hot bath in the morning or afternoon would have no sleep-inducing effect.

3. Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)

Hot baths help relieve the bloating and irritability of PMS. There may also be some other, as-yet-unsubstantiated benefits. Spending time in a hot tub increases metabolism slightly, for example. so it could conceivably help control weight. And at least one study suggests that heat?s antimicrobial effect ? similar to that produced by a fever ? helps prevent colds. There are some people, however, who would do well to stay out of hot tubs ? pregnant women and men trying to conceive a child. Hot tubs and saunas are not a good idea for pregnant women. In a study of 23,000 pregnant women, those who used hot tubs frequently during the first few months of pregnancy were almost three times more likely than nonusers to give birth to children with neural tube defects. Risk of neural tube defects was almost doubled for women who used saunas. There is also evidence to suggest that extended use of hot tubs or saunas can depress men?s sperm counts, since sperm are heat-sensitive. Most urologists urge men in infertile couples not to take hot baths.

4. Hemorrhoids

Some naturopathic physicians recommend sitz baths to treat hemorrhoids. A sitz bath consists of immersing just the lower body in warm water while elevating the legs.

5. Arthritis

It is recommended low-impact weight-bearing forms of exercise ? among them, walking and gardening ? to help control joint pain and inflammation. Another way to gain the same benefit is to exercise ? walk, run in place or swim ? in warm water. The water buoyancy?s helps cushion the joints from harmful impacts, and the relaxing warmth helps the joints move through their full range of motion.
