  2. i have type 2. . .well im crossing over into type 2 diabetes, and ive completely cut out all alcohol, all sugared drinks, i only drink unsweetened tea or diet soda. I try to stay away from all carbs, and only eat whole wheat pasta in moderation, my big thing is portion control and also Im still having a hard time losing because i have polycystic ovarian syndrome which makes it sooo hard to keep the weight off! Do you have any dieting tips for women with PCOS

  12. These tips are great. I definitely need to work on refining them in my diet though. I have completely cut out sweetened drinks and alcohol, those have sooo many calories that was the first thing I did. I like crystal light if I want something sweet to drink instead of just water. As for meat, I love tuna sandwiches! I am already losing weight but just following tips likes these. I am vloggin weekly on youtube too, check out my channel, I have already lost some weight!

  14. @twilightfreak842 Close enough. :) Harvard School of Public Health put out their own food pyramid that doesn’t have serving suggestions, it just says to focus certain foods more than others without giving hard and fast numbers. Google “Healthy Eating Pyramid” for info. It’s pretty interesting…

  15. @darmokandgalad Maybe you don’t feel that they apply to your life, but they are certainly not “terrible” tips for many many people. Alcohol: ‘no more than’, not that you have to drink. Meat: her point was emphasizing the “lean” and the fish since many people eat mostly fattier cuts of red meat and don’t often opt for fish. I wonder about your assertion that “meat is not a necessary part of anyone’s diet.” hmm…If we all stopped eating meat, would there be enough non-meat food for us all?

  16. #3 – 3 fruit and 3 veg is really short of the mark and followed by #4 “ple~nty of fish and shellfish” is just the wrong message. Raw veg especially leafy greens should make up the vast majority of your diet. I suggest to eliminate processed foods , dairy and grains for a good foundation to your diet and normalizing your weight.

    I’m a 14 year old boy who needs to lose around 10 pounds. I only drink low fat milk (0.5 %), water and diet coke and when i feel munchy i’ll grap an apple or a banana. I’m also playing soccer with my friends nearly every day. Will this help me lose those damn 10 pounds in a month? Hope you’ll reply :)

    Drink your vitamins not pop. Stevia is awesome! Throw your sugar in the trash.

  19. God two of those tips were terrible. Meat is not a necessary part of anyone’s diet and men certainly don’t need two drinks a day. She should have said to avoid alcohol all together!

  24. this is rly cool when i hear ppl saying stuff about pop is bad, im 15 years old, all my friends drink pop, my cousins when i go to see them, lol i always weird out ppl i meat becuase i never ever drink pop. not that im not aloud to,or that my body does something weird to it, its just weird i friggin hate that stuff and dont know why!!!

  32. She should try to cut the meats out of her diet, as excessive protein causes calcium to be drained from the body. Green leafy vegetables, nuts and seeds are also good sources of calcium.

  39. You dont need to diet to lose weight.I was 235 in mid July,by first of August i was 228,and now I am 219.

    I eat 1600 calories a day along with exercising.I did cut out most junk food that I found i didnt need to eat and I do have the occassiona snack then its only 1 serving.

  40. i dont believe in diets either, now good nutrition and EXERCISE goes a long way, starving? dont think so.

  41. my knees will die if i jogged 10 miles…and iam only 21!. i prefer pilates/yoga.

  44. For real people??? YOu need to excersise to loose weight! It’s common sense. Excersise and eat right!!!! Yea that means ur gonna have to get off the computer and go for a jog!

  46. eat more protien to curb the need for sweets and try skinny cow ice creams, past is fine when its whole wheat try using non creamy sauces. fruit and yogart really help with suger cravings as well as a slice of bread with peanut butter.i lost 90 pounds this year so it worked for me.also add veggies to paste to fill you up. good luck hope that helped
