Normal, but if they last for a long time or if they are just in one specific area, you should see your doc.

  1. They are normal i am female but had them ther are horrid. It is gruesome pain. My knees would also lock up due to the growth that was scary and painful when it would happen. Just give him motrin advil if he is safe to take it and let him rest when it hurst really bad. Good luck

  2. Normal. My son suffered from them. It is simply a sign of growing very fast. He was growing at a rate of about 3 to 4 inches a year for a while. (he is 6′ 2″ now and full grown). Make sure he has plenty to eat and that he eats often throughout the day, especially potassium loaded foods, like bananas, and protein, like peanut butter, meats, etc.

  3. I grew from being 5ft 2in” to 6ft 2+” in two years. The ‘growing pains’ were – not something I’d inflict on anyone.

There were times when it felt as if on my head I was wearing a ‘lead crash helmet.’ I did not have the power to lift my head from my pillow, nor the muscle power to stand on my two feet.

it is a natural experience, though not experienced by all.

Unless there is an abnormality, the male child will always grow to be taller than its mother, if that is of any help to you.

With that said, it is always best to seek medical advice, just to be on the safe side.

    Regards.
    Sash.
