When a young innocent child is abuse it is a hard-fought road to learn how to harvest life gracefully and find a purpose in life. I should know as I am a survivor of emotional and sexual childhood abuse. I know the devastation and the damage abuse can causes a child. Being abused cause me to grow up with low self-esteem, no self-worth, and no self-respect or regards to myself. I develop major depression, had a personality disorder and post traumatic stress, as well as an anxiety disorder. I became this sad, pathetic, lonely child believing that I was not a person that was worthy of love. I acted out my feelings and thoughts of “I am worthless” by becoming a people please- er and allowing people to take advantage of me, not only in a sexual way but also in a financial way. Finally, after making horrid choices after terrible choices, my life became unmanageable. When I hit my lowest point in life, a must needed change had to take place if I was to survive. By the grace of God, a miracle took place because suddenly I develop a strong internal desire to learn how to harvest life gracefully and find my purpose in life.
When I decided to harvest life gracefully and to find my purpose, I sought help for my problem by going to therapy and self-help groups, as well as researching my problem from books. When I began learning how to harvest life, I was amazed of how many other people had suffer childhood abuse. The statistics was astonishing and shocking to me. I then realized I was not alone. This help me to stay focus and motivated, though the process of learning how to harvest life. By attending self-help groups I found friends that were trustworthy, understanding, and supportive. These friends gave me hope as I continue the process to harvest life gracefully.
To harvest life gracefully and find my purpose, was a long slow journey, painful at times, but well worth the effort. Now I am able to enjoy life and have serenity. I know that I am a lovable person and worth-well. I do have self-worth and there is a meaning to my life. I am so thrill and blissful about where my journey has taken me and can’t wait to see where my journey will end. Life is glorious and wonderful when you know how to harvest life.
I invite you to visit my blog and see how I learn how to harvest life as I tell my personal story. A story of lots of drama and traumatic events.

Part 1 – (thanks to www.donexphotography.co.uk for the lovely photos). Here is part 1 of my radio interview with Westside FM (89.6 FM). I used to suffer with Social Anxiety and had done all of my life. Now that SA does not have a grip on my life as it once did, I feel empowered to help others with Social Anxiety and low self esteem and confidence issues through my non profit events http Ruby Wax attended our first event on 22nd November 2008 and I met her whilst being interviewed for a BBC Campaign called Headroom, you can see the Interview here www.bbc.co.uk I just want people to know that there is a way out of having social anxiety. I used to think there wasn’t a way out and I was supposed to be that way, but in 2005 I was at the end of my tether and did something about it by going to a self help group and never looked back since. Hope you like the interview, Enjoy! Steve Light
