Relationships are expected to be able to bring out the best in us but sometimes they can be the root cause for needing self help advice in the first place. Many self esteem issues are often caused by the relationships we are in. It doesn’t matter if you are dating or in a marriage or just in love, it can either make us feel better or worse about ourselves. We strive to find the one person who will love us and make us feel like the happiest person in the world, unfortunately things don’t always go according to plan.

Many people will try to discover if their present problems are caused by a basic incompatibility issue or because of things that may have occurred before they even met.  Finding the root-cause of the problems you are now facing can be very taxing, so rather than be too concerned about what may have gone on before you should deal with your present relationship problems.

It is best to do is to try and sort out your present relationship so that you and your spouse or partner can help one another to overcome the challenges. Reading self help books and utilizing different self help techniques is a very good idea. If your relationship is strong enough, though, there should be no more need to work on healing yourself because your partner may well help you overcome this. But, of course, you must firstly work on rebuilding the relationship. Look for good marriage counselors or friends who can give good relationship advice you need.

Try to avoid criticizing the one you love.  It won’t help at all.  Think how that would affect you if they were to criticize you! Constructive criticism may seem like a good idea but it still hurts if you are on the receiving end. All it does is make you feel more powerful at the expense of the other person who will probably just feel quite demeaned by it.

There are some other things that you can do to help your relationship. Where you are separated by beliefs, try finding finding common ground rather than pointing out one anothers weaknesses.
Determine what each other’s roles in the relationship are and be open about what you expect of the other. Let your partner know what hurts but also let them know what it is you want or need them to do and try to offer the same to them.

Did you know that it has been scientifically proven that couples in long term and happy relationships, live longer?

Banish any thoughts of splitting up or divorce and think positively.  You should, between you, work towards improving the present situation and building on the existing relationship.  You will both be so much happier for for doing so.

Whether you are dating or involved in a marriage there are many things that you can do to help better the situation but do take action.  It is a well known fact that people in loving relationships live longer!

Healing Yourself and Your Relationship will help you both to have a better self-image which will help you overcome so many of life’s problems which you may encounter in the future.
