Bringing Your Business to the Frontline

Wake Up – Your Clients Are Looking for You!

If you’re going to use the power of the Internet to try to find clients, you have to first understand how prospective clients are going to find you. You need to drop your preconceived notions about how you see your business, and start thinking about how potential clients are going to see your business. To do that, you need to try to put yourself in their shoes.

Understanding Web Searches

Let’s suppose, for example, your business is centered around providing consulting to customers who need help with back pain in New York. When you sit down to start designing your web strategy, you might hire a copywriter to create content with the keywords, “back pain consultant,” or “pain coaching.” However, those terms won’t likely bring you much in the way of good, solid traffic from potential clients.

In fact, the only people who are likely to search for “back pain consultant” are people like you whose business is helping people with back pain. People trying to solve a problem don’t typically search for things like “coaching” or “consulting.”

Instead, you need to consider how exactly those prospective customers are going to search. They might search for the rather generic phrase, “back pain,” or they might be a little more specific and search for something along the lines of “back pain help” or “treatment for back pain.” Other potential clients will use more of a question-based approach, such as searching for “how can I reduce back pain?” In the case of many niches, such as our back pain example, it’s likely that potential clients will also use a geographic or regional term. They assume they’re going to need to see someone in person for treatment. So “back pain help new York” might be a common search phrase.

From Information to Solutions

Something else you need to think about in terms of how potential clients are going to find you on the web, is what stage of searching the potential client is at. Understanding whether or not the potential client is ready to buy is key to your marketing strategy.

There are several stages a person goes through before they’re ready to buy:

Identification

This is the earliest point at which a potential client can identify a felt need. It might be back pain, for example. It could be a desire to make money from the comfort of your home. It might be that the person wants to learn a new skill, take up a new hobby, or just improve their overall well-being. At this stage, the person isn’t usually ready to buy. They’re still feeling their way through the problem, and putting words to it.

Web searches at the identification stage tend to be information-based. The objective isn’t to solve a problem, it’s to understand the problem. At this stage, a person might search for “types of back pain” or “back pain symptoms,” but they aren’t as likely to search for “back pain help.”

Clients at this stage are the least likely to buy. However, if you can hook a potential client at this stage, you may get her to come back later on when she is ready to buy. Many people never leave this stage; once they learn about the topic they want to learn about, they simply leave it alone forever. They decide that it’s not a problem they want or need to invest any more time and energy trying to solve.

Information

Once a person has identified a need or a problem, they usually set out to learn about it in-depth. They start seeking the advice of experts. This is a transitional stage, where it is more likely that they’ll buy than at the identification stage, but where most people don’t rush into anything. At this stage, web searches tend to be information-based again. However, these searches tend to focus on the other end of the need or problem: how to fix it. So here a person might search for “back pain solutions” or “back pain treatment options.” This is where real value-added content comes in handy on your website.

Being able to provide usable and reliable information helps to position you as an authority in your niche. Once the customer is ready to buy, they’ll remember your expertise and come back to you.

Purchase-Ready

At this point, the potential client is ready to buy. They understand the problem or need, know what can be done about it, and are ready to pay someone to get their solution. These are your best prospects, and the easiest people to convert into a sale. People who are ready to buy can get very specific in their search terms. They might search “back pain treatment in New York” or even “back pain physiotherapist.” Their search terms indicate that they don’t just want to know about a problem or a need, but that they’re ready to fix it.

Many potential clients don’t search the web at this stage, however. During the first two stages of their web search process, they have probably identified a reliable source of information. At that point, they’re more likely to go back to that reliable source than they are to search randomly for someone else. If that authoritative source doesn’t offer a direct solution, that’s when the potential client will start their search.

Marketing Across the Stages

Effective marketing for your coaching business will at least touch on each of these stages. While the details and specific tactics may vary from one niche to another, most coaches will want to spend their time in the second stage. By providing useful information to potential clients, you build your image as an authority in your field. Not everyone will seek your services, however most will. By adding real value, you create a positive experience for the client and engender a certain degree of trust. When the time comes for a solution, they’re going to come to you rather than randomly searching on Google (or flipping through the Yellow Pages, for that matter).

Question by Yinzer from Sixburgh: Do you think it is unfair that the “tax relief” checks will give extra for children?
My understanding is that the tax relief checks will be:
0 per person (00 per married couple)
0 additional for each child

WHY? Those children were already used as a tax deduction on the income tax forms. So…. people are getting money back for children which they were already compensated for.
You guessed it…I don’t have children. And as a double income/no children household, my husband and I pay through the nose in taxes. Why, then, when we’ve already payed more than people with children, are we getting less when we had to pay MORE in the first place?

This is supposed to stimulate the economy. You know what? I can spend the money as fast as someone with children can.

I realize those of you with children will most likely take offense to this….but can you really defend your position?
YOU PEOPLE ACT LIKE I’M GETTING FREE MONEY WHEN IT IS MONEY I EARNED. IT WAS MY MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE THAT I PAID THE GOVERNMENT IN TAXES. Whine? Damn right I’m whining.

How You Can Treat Muscle Spasms

It is widely believed in sports medicine circles that massage is a good muscle relaxer after intense exercise. Using massage to end pain from sports injuries or overuse including muscle spasms, cramps, sprains and strains helps to speed healing and relax the muscles.

A spasm is an unexpected, violent and involuntary contraction of a muscle or group of muscles accompanied by a sudden burst of pain which is generally harmless but may interfere with function.  It produces involuntary movement and distortion but ceases after a few minutes.

A spasm may occur due to a disease, strain, or injury to the muscle or nearby tissues.  It could also be an impairment of circulation or disturbance of body chemistry which can be confined, severe or fairly generalized.

Painless or localized spasms are called tics. This involuntary movement of muscles, usually of the face, may seem to be a natural reaction or response to a certain stimulus but eventually, it will happen automatically even without any reason at all. Spasmodic muscle contraction may also be due to a large number of medical conditions, however, including dystonia.

Muscle spasms occur early after an injury takes place.  It is characterized by a tightening of muscles in the area which could be painful at times but not always. Later on, when the basic injury is not fixed, muscle spasms form muscle knots which are painful and become part of the problem.  Oftentimes, it is this pain from the muscle knots that pushes a person to seek muscle relaxer treatment. This is the case with injuries to the neck and back.

Muscle knots, also known as myofascial trigger points in medical term, are abnormal areas within the muscle which cause pain. There is still not much information as to what muscle knots really are. However, doctors made some biopsy test by cutting a piece out of muscle knots and results showed that some abnormal protein deposits seemed to be present in the sample tissue. Some treating practitioners believe that there is excessive connective tissue in these areas, but there is little evidence in the (unfortunately few) studies that have been done to support the idea of excess connective tissue.

The knots form because the spasm keeps the muscle working continuously around the clock which is beyond normal body function. Generally, our bodies move in normal activities with different muscles working in cycles. Since the muscles are not designed for such continuous work, time will come when muscle work overloads and forms these knots. That is why it is important that spasm is treated with available muscle relaxer treatments to help reduce this problem.

Treatment of muscle spasms and muscle knots must be done in close coordination with a medical professional or therapist. Aside from a relaxing massage, exercise is an important muscle relaxer method to help with muscle spasms and muscle knots. However, exercise and massage can become uncomfortable but the patient is expected to feel better later.

The treatments for muscle pains are as diverse as the causes. From over-the-counter and prescription drugs to mind-body techniques to acupuncture, if one approach doesn’t work, another one might. But when it comes to treating chronic pain, no single muscle relaxer technique is guaranteed to produce complete pain relief. Relief may be found by using a combination of treatment options.

Ways to Get Rid of Backache

Talk to your orthopaedist. Have her review your spinal condition. If it’s not slip disk, or some other grave spinal condition then proceed to step2. If you have them, talk to a yoga acharya who specialises in Yoga therapy to cure disease.

Causes of Low Back Pain

There are many diseases and injuries that can cause back pain. If back pain comes on suddenly, it’s usually a sign of a muscle tear, sprained ligament, or ruptured disc. The spine contains intervertebral discs, a kind of cushion made of cartilage that fits between two vertebrae (bone segments). A slipped disc occurs when pressure on a disc causes it to bulge or rupture, pushing cartilage sideways. The cartilage presses on the spinal cord nerves, causing intense pain.

Lifting heavy baggage is one of the causes of injury to interspinous ligaments. When lifting large, heavy objects bend at the knees rather than from the waist, so as to place the stress on the legs. This helps prevent back injury. You should avoid looking down for long period of time while seated at a desk.

Now that we’ve discussed why backache early pregnancy symptom occurs in pregnancy, it is time to devise the methods with which the backache can be relieved. It is important to get rid of this ailment in the beginning of your becoming pregnant itself, because you might have to live with the ache until such time as you experience motherhood. The shifting center of gravity that your backache signifies most of all, that you must not allow the hurting back as the reason to make total changes in your lifestyle post pregnancy.

Backache prevention and treatment are also connected with diet. Daily meals of a person taking care of their back should contain plenty of raw vegetables and fruits (except bananas). The backache sufferer should have three to four meals every day, which include, apart from fruits and vegetables, wholewheat products, milk and fruit juice. One suffering from back pain should avoid fatty and fried food, sugar, spicy condiments, strong tea and coffee.

Pain itself creates stress that exacerbates the condition. Physical stress affects body chemistry in such a way that it can create more pain in the lower back. Emotional stress does the same thing, sometimes to the point that unhappy thoughts are the primary cause of the back pain. Sometimes pain is accompanied by numbness, tingling, or weakness, all neurologic symptoms. If the neurologic symptoms include bowel or bladder dysfunction or groin or leg weakness or numbness, get immediate medical attention.

Sit down on the floor. Bend the knee of your left leg, keep your right leg straight. Put the elbow of your right hand on your left knee from the left. Draw your left hand aside as far as you can. Push off with your right elbow from your left knee, but DO NOT push too much. During this you can feel a little crackle in your spine – this is normal. Make 5-10 pushing repetitions. Do the same to the other side with your right knee bent and your left leg straight 5-10 times. Repeat the cycle from both sides by-turn.
