I would hate to see "small"...anyway this barely got warm. I could not believe how hot it "didn't" get. I mailed this back to amazon for a refund. If you need a "hot" heating pad this is not it. The thing works for a while and then the red light will start blinking for no reason and that's the end of the heating pad. Avoid this like the plague! I'm now looking for a non-Sunbeam replacement.
