Matthew Diaz of Dallas was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1998 at age 38. At the time, he and his wife had two small daughters and no idea how their lives would change. Nine years later, Matthew was almost completely bedridden before opting to have deep brain stimulation surgery at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and effectively turn back time in the progression of his disease.
