As well as laws against women, such as denying them rights to vote or work.

If you look back at history, there are many, many examples of Bible-thumping Christians pointing to certain passages of The Bible to justify these things. They used to say that God didn’t want whites and blacks to interact because God created the races and put them on separate continents, as is stated in The Bible.

How can you ignore the similarities between gay marriage and interracial marriage? You are using the same argument about “the kids will be screwed up and it isn’t healthy for kids.” People used that exact argument against interracial marriage years ago. Interesting….Tiger Woods, Barack Obama, and Mariah Carey all turned out to be pretty successful.

Extremists in Islam also use parts of the Old Testament to justify stoning people these days, as well as cutting off people’s hands…..just as you still take parts of the Old Testament literally.

You religious zealots will go down in history in the next 10 years as being no different than these discriminatory groups of people in the past. Repent your ways now and come back to the 21st century, please, where we base our laws on civil rights and human dignity, rather than on commandments from a book involving a talking snake.
